What fees are being paid on ownership transfer?
All fees that are being paid on ownership transfer are based on the price of the property that is being written in the Title deed. This is the price the buyer and the seller has agreed on or the tax evaluation price of the real estate. The due fees are as follows:1. Municipal or Local Fee - it is being defined by the city council and is being paid to a municipal bank account depending on the municipality where the real estate is located and may differ each year. The local fee on the territory of the Plovdiv Municipality for 2010 is 2,5% of the price of the property.
2. Notary fee - it is progressive and depends on the size of the material interest that is being declared. The size is being calculated in accordance with the Tariff for Notary Fees of the Law for the Notary Publics and the Notarial Activities
3. Registry fee – this is a fee for registration of the fact that the ownership over a real estate has been transferred to another person. In accordance with the Tariff for the state fees that are being collected by the Registry Agency, it is 0.1 % of the price.4. VAT - there is a VAT on the notary fee that is being paid together with this fee. When the seller is registered in accordance with the VAT Law the VAT should also be included in the selling price of the property.
